Effect of glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) on modified Rankin scale (low scores indicate recovery) at 90 days in acute mixed stroke. Data were extracted from the ENOS, RIGHT-1/2 and MR ASAP publications; [40,41,42, 52] where means and standard deviations were not available, they were estimated from medians and interquartile ranges using the method of Wan et al. using their published Excel calculator. [97] The mean difference (fixed effect) was calculated in Cochrane REVMAN software; a mean difference < 0 implies a good outcome. The overall effect of GTN in ENOS was neutral. [41] The pre hoc interaction test between early (< = /LTE 6 h) and later (> /GT 6 h) was significant.
