The pathomechanisms behind CAA-ri. In CAA-ri, anti-Aβ autoantibodies produced in the CSF of affected patients cause various autoinflammatory processes. Due to peri- and intravascular inflammation following microglial activation, vasogenic edemas comparable to iatrogenic ARIA-E are favored.
